Enrollment is first come, first served. Everyone with confirmed registrations will receive a role in the show. Students will work as part of a team to share their talents, learn new skills, and create a high quality show. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to register.
PARENT ORIENTATION AND CASTING:
Parent and Student Orientation and Casting session is on Sunday, January 9, 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. Parents will be dismissed after the first 30 minutes.
Casting will occur at the casting session date. All enrolled will be in the show. No need to prepare anything for the casting session. The artistic staff casts the show with the overall needs of the show in mind. There is plenty to be learned in whatever role a student is cast in. Parents, please encourage your child to do their best to learn all aspects of their role(s) and help them understand that theater is a team activity.
We expect that children will be available for all performances. The success of this show depends on team players making rehearsals a priority so the show can move forward. However, we understand families have busy lives. Please recognize that conflicts are taken into consideration when casting and scheduling so that there is adequate time for the show to be taught. You may not be called to attend all rehearsals. Some rehearsals may only be small groups for scenes/songs/dances. There may be rehearsals for only a portion of the time.

Rehearsals will be on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings beginning Wednesday. January 26. Please review the Commitment Calendar prior to registering.

THE SHOW:
"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure that brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears.
SAFETY:
We are grateful live theater is once again a part of this community - where our talented, focused, and committed youth performers can bring theater magic and joy to an audience!

In addition, cast, crew, staff and audience members ages 12 and over must be vaccinated and show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with ID (No exceptions). Students under 12 are welcome with a mask.
